Wicked!

Hey Mom!  So... it’s 6:42 here, and we are waiting in line to get front row seats to Wicked...  haha!  It’s pretty awesome!  We’re going with the AP's and the Britannia Missionaries.  Every missionary gets the chance to see a play while they serve in London.  (Zhaun-Paul's PDAY was moved to Saturday this week so they could see the play on their PDAY).

Okay... now I’ve just got out of Wicked (the play) and it was INCREDIBLE.  In the England London Mission everyone gets to go to one play if they want during their mission... today was that day for me. I didn’t really feel like a missionary during the whole experience... sort of worldly, but it was a once in a lifetime experience to go to a play in London!  The play absolutely changes the way I see the Wizard of Oz.  So cool.  Pictures will follow below.

Anyways!  This week has been amazing!
Yesterday we met with this girl called Victoria.  She is so cool!  She is from the Ivory Coast, and she has a slight religious background, but she had so many questions that were just tailored for the Gospel!  It was such a cool lesson.  We sat down at a park and taught the Restoration.  The spirit was strong and she is excited to come to church!  It was a great lesson.

I don’t know if I have mentioned Farshad before, but we are teaching this man who has blown me away and taught me a lot about Humility.  He is from Persia.  A country ruled by a dictator and violently Muslim.  He can’t be baptized right now because it would put him and his family in immediate danger.  It is a very hard circumstance.  He has a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true, and that he needs to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He has so much faith, that he told us that he is planning to go back to Persia one last time, and say goodbye to his family before he comes back to be baptized!  That is faith right there.  What a powerful example of someone willing to do anything to follow God.  It reminds me a lot of the early pioneers... it is just incredible to be a part of.  God knows His children, and has a perfect plan for each one... I know that.

My companion is great, and the Missionaries in the Zone are doing amazing.  There are a few things that come up that can be quite stressful, but I have learned a lot about how to rely on the Lord to get through anything!

Something I have been studying this week has been Faith.  Specifically faith in the character of Jesus Christ.  His character was a perfect blend of celestial characteristics, and he never compromised his character.  What an example to look to and emulate the best we can.

That is something so amazing.  I don’t know how familiar you are with wicked, but Alpheba does lots of great things, but compromises slightly towards the end.  Christ never, ever compromised.  Just incredible.

I know this is the Lords work.   I love that I get the chance to be a part of it.  The standard of truth has been erected. I know that He lives and leads this church.  I know that the Book of Mormon is evidence of those facts, and that is absolutely truth out of the Earth meant for us in our day. You can KNOW that by reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. It is His words.
Read it, live it, love it!

Love you all!  Hope you all have an amazing week!
