Hey Mom!
I know! Can’t believe it! The first PDay if yet another transfer... time goes too fast!
What a wonderfully crazy week it has been!
Mom! The storm that they are calling "the Beast from the East" has made this a week I’ll never forget! This storm from Siberia drifted over to England and just started to DUMP snow. Proper snow, like 9 inches. It is so interesting to me How England simply shuts down when it snows. University cancelled, work cancelled, 1/3 of the Stakes church even cancelled! We had lots of fun finding in the snow and teaching people who are usually busy! It was an interesting start to the transfer!
We have seen the Lords hand in helping our Zone hit the ground running this transfer. The faith and the fire of the missionaries coming in is just amazing. Everyone seems to be settling in well to their new areas and new companions. I love the energy and excitement of a new transfer! Zone Conference with President Johnson will be another great event that propels us to give more to this work and see more miracles. I’m excited for MLC tomorrow as well. What a great chance to be with President Johnson in such an intimate setting.
We have seen great things this week with the people we are teaching. We have had really good contact with Davi and with reading the Book of Mormon with him even though he was away in Nottingham this week. He seems really determined this time around. Another great person we are seeing is Judy. She seems really sensitive to feeling the spirit. She recognised it at church and when we taught her how to pray! It builds my testimony so much when people with no experience with God are able to feel the spirit and recognise it! Powerful. We should be able to extend quite a few dates this week, so we are looking forward to that!
Because of all the snow, we heard that other wards were cancelling church. His was on Saturday, and we didn’t even know if we would have church! So we asked our bishop and he told us he would be there soon to check it out. When he arrived, he was wearing shirts and a t-shirt! We went to find some snow shovels and got to work clearing the car park! The three of us cleared the entire parking lot and the walkways after 3 hours of shovelling! Because of that, we were able to have church! We really build trust with Bishop and 4 Investigators made it to church! Worth it!
It’s so good to hear that Maddie got in! So proud of her! And you are going to build a storefront?? Where? That’s pretty cool! Go Purify! Happy to hear that things are going well there. How are you doing with school?
